Screen Shot 2018-02-28 at 23.21.51There will be a concert in North Korea and for the first time in 16 years since VOX,  Red Velvet will be the first South Korean girl group to perform in North Korea in Pyongyang along with fellow SM artist Girls Generations Soheyon.

Red Velvet is my ultimate bias group, knowing that they are traveling to North Korea a place where kpop is banned to promote peace through music just shows the power that kpop has in the world. It makes me proud to stan these amazing women.

With songs like

Bad Boy

Peek-A-Boo

Red Flavor

how could you not stan them! This article is just turning into a Red Velvet appreciation post! :p Knowing me and Red Velvet being my ultimate bias group in kpop it’s easy to go down an appreciation path :p

I am incredibly proud of these girls being an advocate of peace over the border at North Korea where kpop is officially banned. It shows what music can do for peace internationally. Especially between two countries so close, yet constantly at war.

Girl Group VOX was previously the last girl group to perform in North Korea so for Red Velvet this must be a huge honor, and comparing them to a classic group like VOX can only do but good things for their ever successful careers in the kpop music industry.

I’m still a little salty as it seems that North Korea is getting a mini SM Town and London has still not gotten one! Make it happen SM Entertainment!

Wishing Red Velvet a successful trip over to North Korea and that their performance brings joy and love into the hearts of North Koreans. Kpop has the power to change the world!
