Screen Shot 2018-02-28 at 23.21.51(Pre-warning this is sorta a mini-review of the film so if you haven’t seen it yet I recommend highly that you go do so!) So recently in the past month, I was finally able to go out to the cinemas and watch “The Greatest Showman”

LaLa Land should take notes this is how a musical should be done! I could easily see this being made into a Broadway musical. I loved this so much more than LaLa Land, and still, don’t understand why this only won one award.

Go watch the Oscar performance of this song for yourself on Youtube it’s just incredible. goosebumps every time! Check it out below! This woman is amazing. She deserved that standing ovation. This is how a musical is done! ❤

The female characters represented in this film by Zendaya and Keele are inspirational and strong-minded women who can also sing and perform like nobody else! They are what woman should be about, making no apologies for being themselves. Zendaya who plays reject Anne Wheeler who  Zac Efron’s character Phillip initially is uneasy being with her she rejects him for not standing up for her in the face of his parents. Whereas Kela plays the bearded lady hired by the main protagonist PT Barnum.  She and the rest of the casts representation of disability or against the norm are inspirational and the lyrics of the song truly represent that.

“I am brave I am bruised I am who I’m meant to be!”

Music is always inspirational. This is why I look to women in music I find a woman like Zendaya, Keela and Beyonce etc. empowering and why I will always remain a feminist despite being male. You can learn from Women.

As the song says

WE ARE WARRIORS, THAT WHAT WE’VE BECOME!

THERE’S NOTHING IM NOT WORTHY OF. (Amen to that!)
