It seems as though the three amazing women from Jellyfish entertainment, who started the success of Gugudan, Sejong, Nayong, and Mina have finally debuted as a trio subunit representing Gugudan as Gugudan SEMINA. 

 

 

First of all, let me just say that the vocals in this song are just absolutely amazing! I’m team Sejong and Nayong all the way ❤ ❤ <3, sorry Mina :p. I mean she’s in two subunits now, previously appearing in Gugudan OGU OGU with Hyeyeon. (video below)

 

 

However, I shouldn’t have expected anything less than amazing from these girls especially my babies Sejong and Nayong as highlighted in their original audition back in the Produce 101 days. it was expected! However, NaYoung surprised me so much in this Music Video! She is now definitely up their in my top Gugudan members. I originally didn’t pay too much attention to Nayong but now she definitely has my love in Gugudan! So much love always to Sejong the shining star of Gugudan in my opinion. ❤

 

 

I feel like not bashing on Gugudan as a whole, but the girls would have been just fine if they had originally debuted as a three as they are now in Gugudan SEMINA. I do sometimes feel like some of the other Gugudan members are just fillers.

I think this subunit will do Gugudan so well giving fans what they all originally wanted with these girls as a trio on their own!

 

 

This song suited their vocals so well and Nayong and Sejong shined so much and integrated perfectly with Mina’s soft rapping style. I feel like as a trio they could have the possibility of having more popularity than the original 9 members Gugudan, just because of their success on Produce 101, and especially with Mina and Sejong being in IOI. (I’m listening to so much IOI lately). This is what happens when Produce 48 is airing.

 

 

 

Nonetheless, I know the girls will achieve much needed and deserved success with this song and promotional cycle as a sub-unit. We here at Woman of Song wish them the best of luck on live shows. As here on WOS, women are celebrated in the music industry!
